DMCI Homes completes 4 projects, turns over 11 buildings in 2020 despite pandemic challenges

Even with limitations brought about by the pandemic, Quadruple A developer DMCI Homes has stayed true to its commitment of delivering quality homes—completing four residential developments and turning over a total of 11 buildings to homeowners this year.

Just this November, DMCI Homes started the move-in process for the North Tower of Lumiere Residences, marking the completion of the three-building development at the corner of Pasig Boulevard and Shaw Boulevard in Pasig City.


Despite the health crisis, the company managed to deliver the 43-storey high residential North Tower on time. The completion of Lumiere Residences brings DMCI Homes’ delivered projects to 4 this year, including Alea Residences in Bacoor Cavite; Sheridan Towers in Pasig City; and Calathea Place in Parañaque City.


In total, DMCI Homes was able to turn over 11 buildings in 2020 that include Lumiere Residences’ North Tower; Alea Residences’ Budi building; Sheridan Tower’s North Tower; and Calathea Place’s Marantina and Lavender buildings. The list also includes the Westport and Lauderdale buildings of Oak Harbor Residences in Parañaque City—the company’s first project under the DMCI Homes Exclusive brand; Mulberry Place’s Bengaline, Dui, and Cochine buildings in Acacia Estates, Taguig; and Verdon Parc’s Belvedere building in Davao City.


With a combined 4,241 residential units, the 11 completed buildings have a total sales value of Php

14.4 billion. DMCI Homes managed to deliver the projects despite a 76-day work stoppage when lockdown measures were enforced by the government from March to May to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease.


“We have been very productive these past few months despite the limitations brought about by the pandemic,” DMCI Homes President Alfredo R. Austria said. “I would like to believe that our efforts to continuously improve our design, engineering and construction through technology and people development over the years served us well in facing these unprecedented challenges,” he added.

DMCI Homes wrapped up the construction of Calathea Place in November this year with the completion of the fourth and final building of the mid-rise development, Lavender.


With a combined 4,241 residential units, the 11 completed buildings have a total sales value of Php 14.4 billion.


To make up for the lost productivity, DMCI Homes has been instituting several operational changes such as the modularization of building components, bathroom systems and sanitary lines. It also set up batching plants in key areas to fast-track its concrete pouring activities.


DMCI Homes started the turnover of Sheridan Towers’ North Tower in July this year to mark the completion of the two-tower development in the boundary of Pasig and Mandaluyong City


As a way to reduce tardiness and absenteeism among its workers, DMCI Homes expanded its onsite barracks capacity by 59 percent to accommodate 4,941 workers. It also offers bike loans to qualified workers to enhance their personal mobility.
